Whitney Drolen


Whitney Drolen recently moved back to Texas to join KTVT in Dallas as a traffic anchor. Drolen is taking the place of Teresa Frosini, who was promoted into a reporting role. Whitney Drolen was formerly the traffic reporter on Southern California's CBS2 from 5 to 7 a.m. Drolen, who grew up in Ventura, has also lived in Orange and Los Angeles counties and understands drivers' frustrations on the freeways of Southern California.

Drolen attended Chapman University and earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism. She has covered everything from the crash of United Flight 93 on 9/11 to red-carpet movie premieres. Drolen is also a two-time recipient of the Associated Press Excellence in Journalism Award.
